Day two on the PCT and taking a break after only 6 miles of hiking. I hiked 20 miles my first day to stop at Marino Lake, which everybody says will be the coldest night on the PCT. they weren’t wrong, pretty freezing last night.

Feet look lovely! Sending warm thoughts from cold, rainy Boulder! Trek on! ❌⭕️
What a start! Hope to see you at Warner Springs!
get some gators dud
Tom, Dean has the Dirty Girl gaiters and says they are awesome so far. See the red and black gaiters in the lower left corner: http://www.dean9r.com/packing-list/
Doing good! I hope those feet feel better than they look! LOL
Way to go Dean!!! Nice mileage on your first day. Looking forward to the next post. What is your PCT name? What boots are you hiking in? B
Brian, Dean is wearing HOKA shoes. They are super cushy, lots of ventilation, and a size too big (because your feet swell up in the heat).
Thanks for the info Boulderworks!
This is just amazing, Dean. You’re amazing. Be safe out there. xx
